I absolutely loved the book! The book repeats some from “Hopeless” since it is the story but from his perspective。 Still an amazing piece and I can’t wait to read another by this author!

Well, in true Colleen Hoover fashion, it took me about 7 hours to completely devour this book。 How can a book, where I already know a lot of what is going to happen, still rip my heart to shreds & peace it back together? In Hopeless, we hear Sky’s story。 In Losing Hope, we hear Dean Holder’s。 Dean’s life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt & remorse for the girl he couldn’t save all those years ago and now for his sister。 Until he met Sky。 UGH。 Dean Holder。 After reading this one, you now Well, in true Colleen Hoover fashion, it took me about 7 hours to completely devour this book。 How can a book, where I already know a lot of what is going to happen, still rip my heart to shreds & peace it back together? In Hopeless, we hear Sky’s story。 In Losing Hope, we hear Dean Holder’s。 Dean’s life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt & remorse for the girl he couldn’t save all those years ago and now for his sister。 Until he met Sky。 UGH。 Dean Holder。 After reading this one, you now hold a special place in my heart。 Obviously, I loved him in Hopeless, but Losing Hope just makes me love him even more。 I loved reading his side of the story and his perspective on how things unfolded。 I also loved the little twists that were thrown our way; stuff we didn’t really know about in Hopeless。 Obviously, Losing Hope gets all the praise from me。 I just loved this story so much。 5 ⭐️s 。。。more

Best book ever。

Podia não existir, não muda quase nada do primeiro, não achei que valeu a leitura。

I was sooo looking forward to this book, since it’s a sequel and I have been dying to know what happens next。 I was taken back when I was the same story, but told through Holder’s version。 LET ME TELL YOU THO, it was G O L D and the ending meaning/story/wrap up was great。 (Well if you know the story, not “great” but from a reader perspective I’m content)

While not anywhere near as good as the first in this series, reading the story from Holder's point of view definitely offers a different perspective。 While not anywhere near as good as the first in this series, reading the story from Holder's point of view definitely offers a different perspective。 。。。more

Although I read this over a period of two days - it mirrored so much of the first book in the series (Yes from Dean's perspective) that it did not leave the same element of disguise as Hoover has in her other novels。 Although I read this over a period of two days - it mirrored so much of the first book in the series (Yes from Dean's perspective) that it did not leave the same element of disguise as Hoover has in her other novels。 。。。more

Great book like the first one, told from the other persons point of view。 Only criticism is it was a bit repetitive after reading the first one。

If you have read the first novel then this is a must read! I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it since the first novel wasn't anything spectacular。 But it's so heart breaking to hear the story told from Holder's POV。 If you have read the first novel then this is a must read! I enjoyed this book more than Hopeless。 A lot of the dialogue was 100% copied, and I just skimmed that。 I felt like I got a deeper picture of the characters from Holder’s perspective, plus there was excellent closure for the storylines。 Really, it would have made more sense to write one book and alternate perspectives。 But I guess if selling books is the goal, this is the way to do that。

This was a well-written book from the POV of Dean Holder。 I read Hopeless first and did feel like it was pretty repetitive because I knew the story from the POV of Sky。 Colleen Hoover did do a good job of adding character and depth to Dean’s side of things。

Honestly, not worth reading after you read Hopeless。 Losing Hope is literally just from the guy’s perspective。 The only difference is he includes his sister’s part of Sky‘a story。

Samen met het eerste boek is dit 1 van de meest aangrijpende boeken die ik ooit gelezen heb!!! Echte aanraders!!!

I haven't read Hopeless, and didn't realise this was an alternative view to it, but this read like a standalone book so that was fine。 I'm familiar with Hoovers style - her characters feel incredibly deeply and the men say all the right things girls wish their boyfriends said。 Romantic and passionate and so good at capturing those first kiss vibes! However, perhaps I'm jaded or just getting too old for Hoover, but I found the events in this story quite a stretch。 Holder just starts hanging aroun I haven't read Hopeless, and didn't realise this was an alternative view to it, but this read like a standalone book so that was fine。 I'm familiar with Hoovers style - her characters feel incredibly deeply and the men say all the right things girls wish their boyfriends said。 Romantic and passionate and so good at capturing those first kiss vibes! However, perhaps I'm jaded or just getting too old for Hoover, but I found the events in this story quite a stretch。 Holder just starts hanging around Hope's place like a stalker, acts weird and she's seemingly OK with this。 I get first attractions, but I didn't quite buy their early interactions, although I was happy enough to gloss over them。 The end of the story is when things get a little too pat and unlikely for me, and it soured the book for me。 Some cute one liners and enough angst and tragedy for most readers, I couldn't get immersed in this story, but I will read more from Hoover。 。。。more

I am so grateful we get to witness their love story in Holder's perspective。 At first I was expecting it to be dull because it will be just be retold but never underestimate Colleen Hoover, she makes every literary interesting。I loved the letters Holder write to Les, it's so intimate and sweet。 And also I loved that in this book we get to see Holder and Daniel’s cute friendship, oh and Breckin! Wow。 I thought the first book was good, but somehow Colleen Hoover struck again。 This book is gold。 Pure gold。 Even though you already know the story, Dean’s perspective and past brings a whole new light to the situation。 The pure love between Hope/Sky and Dean is incredible to read about。 And adding everything with Les that we didn’t get in the first book just made it a million times better。 God I loved this book。

yea so it was basically the same book as hopeless just from holders pov so kinda pointless but i digress, THE COVER: HE LOOKS LIKE 30, not at all what i image holder looking like。 also i kinda still dunno how i feel ab the plot twist, it’s just rlly disturbing but i think that was CoHo’s goal。。。 idk

I struggle sometimes to read the same story in a different POV。 However, this was NOT the same story。 Yes, some of the events are the same, but they are told in such a new and magical way。 I fell in love more with Dean Holder and all that he is。 In this series, you see love, hope, hurt, and every emotion in between。 No books have wrecked me as much as Colleen Hoover’s。 This woman is truly a writer。

Taylor

This is deans pov。 I loved it

I loved reading from holders point of view! You see how big his heart is and how much he loves hope!! I love the meaning of his tattoo!! Colleen you are amazing and I couldn’t stop I needed more ❤️❤️❤️

I read Hopeless for the first time in 8th grade and fell in love。 I recently remembered it and bought it again, and I fell in love all over again。 Imagine my shock when I learned there was a book in Holder’s perspective 😭😭 I absolutely loved him before and now I somehow love him even more。 These two books are my favorite by Colleen Hoover so far。 I read this one in just a few hours because her writing is so simple but compelling that I can fly through her books。 This book explains why Holder is I read Hopeless for the first time in 8th grade and fell in love。 I recently remembered it and bought it again, and I fell in love all over again。 Imagine my shock when I learned there was a book in Holder’s perspective 😭😭 I absolutely loved him before and now I somehow love him even more。 These two books are my favorite by Colleen Hoover so far。 I read this one in just a few hours because her writing is so simple but compelling that I can fly through her books。 This book explains why Holder is how he is and makes it so much easier to understand his actions in Hopeless。 I loved this book maybe as much as I loved the first one。 10/10 recommend。 。。。more
